Acid Bath

Regarded as one of the earliest sludge metal bands, Acid Bath blended doom, hardcore punk, death metal and Southern rock influences. They issued When the Kite String Pops (1994) and Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996) before ending after the January 1997 death of bassist Audie Pitre in a traffic collision. A reunion was announced in October 2024, followed by a homecoming arena show at UNO Lakefront Arena in November 2025.
